In this workshop, students will work with volunteers to understand key financial terms and expand their knowledge and financial capabilities. They will take part in activities that will improve their budgeting skills, strengthen their knowledge of living costs and give them confidence in using new financial terms.

The Zoom meeting details, along with the event briefing document and guidance, will be emailed to volunteers a few days before the event is due to take place.
This skills workshop will develop students’ knowledge of personal finance, financial definitions and concepts. We will explore what key financial terms mean, how they apply to everyday life, and how to create a follow a budget. Your role will be to join a video call with students, speak about your job and your career journey, and participate in interactive tasks for students to follow during the workshop.
Duration – Approximately one hour (including brief).
You will need to attend a ten minute briefing the day before the event.
Please note: to participate in this event, you must have access to a camera and microphone on your PC or laptop. Volunteers should not use their mobile phone.
